20 Horror Movies That Make Us Excited for 2017

The horror genre is alive and well and will probably live forever — so we all have a lot to look forward to next year, and the year after that, and so on, and beyond. But let’s just focus on 2017 for the moment, shall we? After a banner year for scary movies in 2016, seemingly packed with great features big and small, it seems like we might just have another impressive 365 days ahead of us. There are giant scary blockbusters and intimate thrillers, long-awaited sequels and ambitious reboots, and a heck of a lot more in store.
Although we’re about to take a good, long look at the 28 movies that currently have us excited for 2017, it’s important to remember that horror movies (usually) move quickly, and that the best horror film of 2017 might not have even been made yet. Innovative indies seemingly come out of nowhere all the time to throttle us by the neck, and even some of the most interesting studio products sometimes get made very quickly — so much, in fact, that there may be intriguing November and December releases that haven’t even been announced yet.

So in 2017, as with all years, we look forward to being surprised — but we’re also looking forward to these films too. They all have potential which we hope will be achieved. Let’s take a peek at what’s on the horizon, and let’s keep in mind that release dates and even the titles of these movies are subject to change. Okay?

Okay!
AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING (January 6th)
They can’t delay this movie forever… can they? Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan and Jennifer Jason Leigh star as the latest family to move into the infamously haunted house, in a film that was supposed to come out in January 2015, then April 2016, and finally (we hope) in about a month. The AMITYVILLE franchise has needed a good kick in the pants for a while now — let’s all hope that these delays don’t mean disaster, and that this movie is exactly the AWAKENING this franchise needs.
UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS (January 6th)
Kate Beckinsale slips into skintight vinyl one more time for the fifth in the popular supernatural action series about a vampire who goes to war against werewolves, other vampires (and all the critics, who generally don’t seem to care for this franchise one bit). This time, Selene (Beckinsale) has to protect her daughter from enemies who want to use the child to make vampire/werewolf hybrids. You know.. the usual. Fans of this series expect slick action and not much else — and it looks like they’re going to get it.
THE BYE BYE MAN (January 13th)
“Don’t say it, don’t think it.” That’s a pretty cool mantra for a horror movie, and this one — about a supernatural serial killer who spreads like an idea, infecting anyone who keeps him alive in their thoughts — might just deliver the goods. It’s the latest from director Stacy Title, whose 1996 murder story THE LAST SUPPER is one of the most entertaining black comedies of the 1990s, and she might still have some tricks up her sleeve.

SPLIT (January 20th)
M. Night Shyamalan seems to have given big budgets a miss for a while and settled into smaller, high-concept thrillers where his unusual proclivities can be a selling point instead of a hindrance. It’s a strategy that worked wonders with THE VISIT, and it looks like he might have another hit on his hands with SPLIT — a thriller that stars James McAvoy alongside James McAvoy, James McAvoy, James McAvoy, James McAvoy and James McAvoy. Together they play a man with multiple personality disorder, who kidnaps three teen girls for a sinister purpose. McAvoy is always at his best when he’s unhinged, and Shyamalan is always at his best when he’s surprising us — so SPLIT could be a great collaboration.

People Who Talk To Themselves Aren’t Crazy, They’re Actually Geniuses

As it turns out, talking to yourself, is not only sane but it is also a sign of being genius.
Some of the smartest people on earth talk to themselves. Here is just one example.
Albert Einstein talked to himself. – Einstein.org reports that he “used to repeat his sentences to himself softly.
Talking to oneself is often associated with mental illness, especially schizophrenia, but it can also be a very positive and healthy behavior. In an article from Elite Daily, the author, Gigi Engle, discusses about how talking to yourself is a sign of genius.
She says, “The smartest people on earth talk to themselves. Look at the inner monologues of the greatest thinkers. Look at poetry! Look at history!”
Talking to yourself helps in the following ways:
*Talking to yourself makes your brain work more efficiently.
*Talking out loud to yourself helps you only when you know what you need.
*You learn as a child by talking to yourself.
*Talking to yourself helps you organize your thoughts.
*Talking to yourself helps you achieve your goals.
*It helps your self-esteem

Talking to yourself makes your brain work more efficiently
In one study, psychologists Daniel Swigley and Gary Lupyan hypothesized that talking to yourself was actually beneficial.
In one experiment, Swigley and Lupya gave 20 people the name of an object (like a loaf of bread or an apple), which they were told to find in the supermarket. During the first set of trials, the participants were bound to silence. In the second set, they repeated the object’s name out loud as they looked for it in the store.
Test subjects found the object with greater ease when they spoke to themselves while searching. Saying things out loud sparks memory. It solidifies the end game and makes it tangible. But talking out loud to yourself helps you only when you know what you need. In this case, speaking the object’s name out loud is helpful only when you’re familiar with its appearance.

After This Dog’s Best Friend Died, He Was Depressed For 2 Years But Then This Duck Showed Up

George the dog has been depressed for the last two years since he lost his best friend of 12 years, a Labrador named Blackie. However, last Thursday a friendly duck waddled into his life out of nowhere and snuggled next to the sad pooch as he was laying on the porch of this home in Tennessee.
“We have no idea where this duck came from but he sure does love George and since the duck has arrived George has not cried one time,” George’s owner Jacquie Litton wrote on Facebook. “It is strange for a duck to just appear at our house and be attached to your dog and even more strangely the anniversary week of Blackie’s passing.” Since that day, the two have been inseparable. The duck follows George everywhere he goes and the pooch is not so lonely anymore. He’s finally smiling again.

Bring Out Glorious Animal Characteristics By Doodling On Their Pictures

Animal Doodles is a series of different animal, bird images I found on Google and doodled my imagination on them.
One can find so many different patterns and textures in nature and especially on flora and fauna. This project celebrates animals and birds in all their glory by bringing out they beauty of their characteristics, behavior, colors and textures with doodles.
The idea was to experiment with doodles of tribal patterns on photographs of animals in the wild. I have always found inspiration in tribal art and off late in African patterns and designs specifically. My first doodle experiment was a Rhino for which I got a very good response on my social feeds and so I decided to make a series out of the experiment.
What started as a casual experiment on a bored evening as my first attempt doodling on images, left me with a newfound love for animals and illustration. Not only was it a satisfying creative experiment, but also an enriching learning experience. The doodles are digitally done using Wacom in Adobe Illustrator. Animals and nature inspire me.

Aliens Have Abducted Millions of Humans’ Claims Temple Professor

No need to look to the stars in our search for extraterrestrial life; aliens might already be here among us on Earth…Or at least that’s what retired Professor David M. Jacobs thinks.

According to Jacobs, extraterrestrial beings have been abducting and sexually molesting humans the world over for aeons, all to create a hybrid race of alien-humans who walk the earth unnoticed but will eventually take over the planet.
But Jacobs isn’t your typical UFOlogist. Tenured for 36 years as a Professor of American History at Temple University, Jacobs is a 71 year old intellectual-type who, according to Philly.com makes his case with “well-reasoned, articulate explanations and applies scholarly approach to his research which he has shared in four books- printed by well-known and academic publishers.”‘
_________________________________________________________________

Alien abduction and human hybrid findings are shared by Dr. David M. Jacobs, who has compiled vast information on the contact that generations of people have had with extraterrestrials interested in genetic intermingling with humans. How UFO sightings are more subjective than abduction, the mysterious goal of aliens living among us, and the ongoing programming and conditioning of visitor s on Earth are explored in this uncensored Buzzsaw interview, hosted by Sean Stone.
Dr. David M. Jacobs, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of History at Temple University specializing in twentieth century American history and culture. Dr. Jacobs began researching the controversy over unidentified flying objects in America in the mid 1960’s, and has amassed over 38 years of primary research data and analytical hypotheses on the subject.
In addition, Dr. Jacobs has lectured on the subject of UFO abduction at universities and colleges across the country. In 1989 he delivered the first paper to a scientific organization about the abduction phenomenon at Cornell University. In 1992 Dr. Jacobs participated in the first session on UFOs at the History of Science Society, Washington D.C. In conjunction with colleague Budd Hopkins, Dr. Jacobs conducted the widely discussed Roper Organization poll of the abduction phenomenon. The results of that highly influential survey were published in 1992 in the booklet, Unusual Personal Experiences.
Finally, Dr. Jacobs is a strong advocate of strict scientific and ethical research methodology. With colleagues Budd Hopkins and John Carpenter, he has given a series of workshops for members of the mental health community in the methods of abduction hypnosis, research, and therapy. In recent years he has concentrated on ascertaining the proper methodological techniques for the hypnosis and therapy of abductees. Hopkins’ and Jacobs’ revised “Suggestions for Hypnosis and Therapy of Abductees” was originally published in 1994. He is the author of Walking Among Us: The Alien Plan to Control Humanity.

New research proves marijuana users have lower cerebral blood flow than non-users

Lots of marijuana users for sure will not consider this research but, everybody at least need to know the information about.
Marijuana users have abnormally low blood flow in virtually every part of the brain, new scans reveal.
Sophisticated imaging of 1,000 cannabis users’ brains found all of them had widespread restrictions or build-ups of blood flow.
Many had abnormal blood levels in areas affected by Alzheimer’s disease, such as the hippocampus, told Daily Mail.
UNITED STATES – The findings, published in the latest Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, are an ominous warning as the United States rapidly embraces recreational and medical marijuana legalization.
It comes just weeks after the White House’s surgeon general, Dr Vivek Gupta, warned legalization is moving faster than research.
The researchers at Amen Clinics analyzed data from a broad database including 26,268 patients across the US between 1995 and 2015.
The patients – from California, Washington, Virginia, Georgia and New York – all had complex treatment-resistant issues, and all underwent single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) – a sophisticated imaging study that evaluates blood flow and activity patterns while undergoing concentration tests.

Bermuda Triangle – Giant Cristal Pyramid found on Devil’s Triangle

Pyramids Of Glass Submerged In The Bermuda Triangle.
So I’m not sure how many of you have actually watched the Spirit Science Lesson 12 Video about Human History, but in the video Patchman talks about a False Merkaba from Atlantis sitting in what we currently call the Bermuda Triangle.
Does anyone else find it interesting that they have now found a Glass Pyramid on the Ocean Floor of the Bermuda Triangle, Interesting read – the bloger The Informing Observer wrote.
_____
These strange underwater pyramid structures at a depth of two thousand meters were identified with the help of a sonar according to oceanographer Dr. Verlag Meyer.
Studies of other structures like Yonaguni in modern day Japan have allowed scientists to determine that the two giant pyramids, apparently made of something like a thick glass, are really impressive – each of them is larger than the pyramid of Cheops in Egypt.
Recently American and French scientists as well as other countries that are conducting surveys in areas of the seabed of the Bermuda Triangle, claim to have found a pyramid standing upright on the seabed that has never been discovered.
The length of the base of this pyramid reached 300 meters, 200 meters height, and distance from base to the tip of the pyramid is about 100 meters above the sea floor.
Preliminary results show this structure to be made of glass or a glass-like (crystal?) material, as it is entirely smooth and partially translucent.
When talking about size, this newly re-discovered pyramid is larger in scale than the pyramids of ancient Egypt.
On top of the pyramid there are two very large holes, sea water at high speed move through the second hole, and therefore the raging waves roll by forming a giant vortex that makes the waters around this cause a massive surge waves and mist on the sea surface.
This new discovery makes scientists wonder if this is having an affect on passing boats and planes and could be the reason for all the mystery surrounding the area.
Built on Land – Lost During Last Pole Shift?
There are several Western scholars who argue that the pyramid on the seabed may have been initially made on the mainland, after which a devastating earthquake struck and changed the landscape completely.
Other scientists argue that a few hundred years ago the waters of the Bermuda Triangle area may have as one of the cornerstone activities of the people of Atlantis, and Pyramids on the sea floor may be a supply warehouse for them.
Perhaps it is related to the underwater race of humanoids discovered in Washington State in 2004 – the so called “aquatic ape” beings?
A more detailed study over time will give results that are difficult to imagine. Scientists have processed all of the data and concluded that the surface is perfectly smooth for it to look like glass or ice.
The size of the pyramids are nearly three times the size of the pyramids of Cheops. This news was sensational, and was discussed at a conference in Florida and even reported to local Florida newspapers.
The journalists present in it, have a lot of pictures and high resolution computerized data, which show three-dimensional pyramids perfectly smooth, without being covered with a surface free of debris or algae or cracks.
There is also a suspicion that the Bermuda triangle and the area where this pyramid was supposedly located may be some sort of “holy grounds” that is being protected by the fabled Atlanteans – that whatever crosses over the location is considered an offering…
Others hypothesize that the pyramid can attract and collect cosmic rays, from the so called “energy field” or “quantum vacuum” and that this may have been used as an Altantean power plant (or whoever was around at the time).
With the mystery still surrounding behind the Egyptian pyramids and the fact that the pyramidal structures seems to be found in almost all ancient cultures – its going to be hard to tell for certain the origin of this structure or if it truly exists (we haven’t been there yet so…) but be sure to check back frequently as we at Apparently Appare & BeforeItsNews.com try to bring you this kind of news BEFORE it makes it to the rest of the world. That’s why we are here. That is our mission.
True or False?
“It doesn`t sound too real to me,” said Calvin Jones of the Florida state Division of Historical Resources.
“I’m always open minded because we`re always learning new things. But the idea of a pyramid structure, let alone one made of glass, under more than 10 feet of water – the chances are about one in a million.”
Jones said if it is a genuine archaeological find, the pyramid would have to have been built between 10,000 B.C. and 6,000 B.C., when the continental shelf was not covered by water, said Chisholm.
Florida archaeologists agree with him on the time span, but disagree with many other of his group`s claims.
Florida State University anthropologist Glen Doranprofessor said the earliest Near East pyramids are dated to about 4,000 B.C. and all New World pyramids are dated after 1 A.D. So any such structure off the coast of Florida would be at least 2,000 years older than all other known pyramids.
Other Underwater Pyramids are Found
In 1977, a mysterious discovery was made on the floor of the Atlantic concerning an unknown technology.
A 650-foot pyramid was mysteriously lit up, with sparkling white water surrounding it that turned deep green, a shocking contrast to the dark black waters at that depth.
The discovery was photographed by Arl Marahall’s expedition off Cay Sal.
Another huge pyramid, in 10,000 feet of Atlantic water, was reported to have been found with a pulsating crystal on top of it, by Tony Benik’s expedition.
The group also found an opaque crystal tablet there, and reported that when a light was beamed through it, mysterious inscriptions became visible.
More underwater pyramids were found off Central America, Yucatan, and Louisiana, where domes were found in the Straits of Florida.
A marble Greek style building was found between Florida and Cuba. And what about the column that radiated energy Dr. Zink found in the Bahamas and Zink also brought up other artifacts from his dives over Atlantis, and he was interviewed by Mind International agent Steve Forsberg.
Other pyramids have been explored by a Dr. Ray Brown on the sea floor off the Bahamas in 1970. Brown was accompanied by 4 divers who also found roads, domes, rectangular buildings, unidentified metallic instruments, and a statue holding a “mysterious” crystal containing miniature pyramids.
The metal devices and crystals were taken to Florida for analysis at a university there. What was discovered was that the crystal amplified energy that passed through it. Perhaps this is the reason for the glass-like pyramid!
Dr. Ray Brown’s Crystal Sphere
In 1970, Dr. Ray Brown, a naturopathic practitioner from Mesa, Arizona, went scuba diving with some friends near the Bari Islands in the Bahamas, close to a popular area known as the Tongue of the Ocean (This was depicted in the tv show “In Search Of – Atlantis,” originally made in 1979).
During one of his dives, Brown became separated from his friends and while searching for them he was startled when he came across a strange pyramid shape silhouetted against the aquamarine light.
Upon investigating further, Brown was surprised by how smooth and mirror-like was the stone surface of the whole structure, with the joints between the individual blocks almost indiscernible.
Swimming around the capstone, which Brown thought might have been lapis lazuli, he discovered an entrance and decided to explore inside.
Passing along a narrow hallway, Brown finally came to a small rectangular room with a pyramid-shaped ceiling. He was totally amazed that this room contained no algae or coral growing on the inner walls. They were completely spotless!
In addition, though Brown had brought no torch with him, he could nevertheless see everything in the room with his normal eyesight. The room was well lit, but no direct light source was visible.
Brown’s attention was drawn to a brassy metallic rod three inches in diameter hanging down from the apex of the center of the room and at its end was attached a many-faceted red gem, which tapered to a point.
Directly below this rod and gem, sitting in the middle of the room, was a stand of carved stone topped by a stone plate with scrolled ends. On the plate there was a pair of carved metal bronze-colored hands, life-sized, which appeared blackened and burnt, as if having been subjected to tremendous heat.
Nestled in the hands, and situated four feet directly below the ceiling rod gem point, was a crystal sphere four-inches in diameter.
Brown tried to loosen the ceiling rod and red gemstone but neither would move. Returning to the crystal sphere, he found, to his amazement, that it separated easily from the bronze hand holders.
With the crystal sphere in his right hand he then made his way out of the pyramid.
As he departed, Brown felt an unseen presence and heard a voice telling him never to return!
Going Back 5000 Years
The Chinese are said to possess some of the oldest and most ancient documents known to man. Master Li Hongzhi in Zhuan Falun is said to have an explanation of the discovery of a prehistoric civilization as follows:
“On earth there are continents of Asia, Europe, South America, North America, Oceania, Africa and the continent of Antarctica, which scientists in general geology called ‘continental plates’.
Since the formation of continental plates until seakrang, there are already tens of millions of years of history. It can be said also that many mainland from the ocean floor that rises to the top, there are also a lot of land that sank to the seabed, since this condition is stable until the situation is now, already historic tens of millions of years.”
But in many sea floor, has found a number of large high buildings with exquisite carvings, and not from the cultural heritage of modern mankind, so surely the building that was created before he sank to the bottom of the sea.
Seen from this angle, the mystery of the Pyramids on the seabed has been resolved.
We are simply seeing the results of a cataclysmic earth changing event which resulted in raised sea levels and many lost coastal civilizations.
Scientists know more about the surface of the moon then they do about the depths of the earth’s oceans.
Perhaps we should follow James Cameron’s lead and start asking more questions about what is really down there – maybe even exploring for ourselves.

‘Intelligent People are Happiest Alone’, just-published study confirms

In a study about how our ancestral needs impact our modern feelings, researchers uncovered something that will surprise few among the highly intelligent.
While most people are happier when they’re surrounded by friends, smart people are happier when they’re not.
The researchers, Norman P. Li and Satoshi Kanazawa, of the Singapore Management University, Singapore and the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK, respectively, were investigating the “savannah theory” of happiness.
BIG THINK writes, the savannah theory — also called the “evolutionary legacy hypothesis” and the “mismatch hypothesis” — posits that we react to circumstances as our ancestors would, having evolved psychologically based on our ancestors’ needs in the days when humankind lived on the savannah.
The study analyzed data from interviews conducted by the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health (Add Health) in 2001-2002 with 15,197 individuals aged 18–28.
The researchers looked for a correlation between where an interviewee lived — in a rural or urban area — and his or her life satisfaction.
They were interested in assessing how population density and friendships affect happiness.
How We Feel About Being in Large Groups
The study found that people in general were less happy in areas of greater population density. The report’s authors see this is as support for the savannah theory because we would naturally feel uneasy in larger groups if — as evidence they cite suggests — our brains evolved for functioning in groups of about 150 people:
Comparing the size of our neocortex to other primates and the sizes of the groups in which they dwell suggests the natural size of a human group is 150 people (Dunbar, 1992).
Computer simulations show that the evolution of risk aversion happens only in groups of about 150 people (Hintze, Olson, Adami, & Hertwig, 2013).
The average size of modern hunter-gatherer societies is 148.4 people (Dunbar, 1993).
Neolithic villages in Mesopotamia had from 150–200 people (Oates, 1977).
When a group of people exceeds 150-200 people, it will tend to break into two in order to facilitate greater cooperation and reciprocity among its members (Chagnon, 1979).
The average personal network, as suggested by the typical number of holiday cards sent per person per year, is 153.5 people (Hill & Dunbar, 2003).
The study discovered, though, that the negative effect of the presence of lots of people is more pronounced among people of average intelligence.
They propose that our smartest ancestors were better able to adapt to larger groups on the savannah due to a greater strategic flexibility and innate ingenuity, and so their descendants feel less stressed by urban environments today.
You’ve Got to Have Friends. Or Not.
While it seems self-evident that good friendships increase life satisfaction in most people, Li and Satoshi and Kanazawa note, surprisingly, that they know of only a single study that looked at the reason why this is true, and which concluded friendships satisfy psychological needs such as relatedness, the need to be needed, and an outlet for sharing experiences.Still, the reason a person has those needs remains unexplained.
Li and Kanazawa feel that we need look no further than the savannah.
They say that friendships/alliances were vital for survival, in that they facilitated group hunting and food sharing, reproduction, and even group child-rearing.
The data they analyzed supports the assumption that good friendships — and a few good ones is better than lots of weaker ones — do significantly increase life satisfaction for most people.
In highly intelligent people, though, the finding is reversed: Smart people feel happier alone than when others, even good friends, are around.
A “healthy” social life actually leaves highly intelligent people with less life satisfaction.
Is it because their desires are more aspirational and goal-oriented, and other people are annoyingly distracting?
However, just in case this makes too much sense, the study also found that spending more time socializing with friends is actually an indicator of higher intelligence!
This baffling contradiction is counter-intuitive, at least. Unless these smart people are not so much social as they are masochistic.

The daily lesson.
